We are excited to welcome Paul Sikic as the new Senior Advisor and Head of Trade Tourism at EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation. With nearly 20 years of experience in the tourism industry, Paul brings a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of the Nordic markets. His extensive career, which includes senior roles at the tourism agency Related and as director of the Croatian National Tourist Office in Scandinavia, positions him perfectly to lead our efforts in expanding our tourism trade business across Scandinavia and Germany.

"We’ve always had a focus on the travel trade sector, and bringing Paul Sikic on board is a strategic move to expand and deepen our focus in this area. His extensive experience and expertise in the Nordic markets will help us enhance our offerings and drive further growth, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients," says Allan Sonne Sørensen, CEO and partner at EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation.

We had a quick chat with Paul himself, to learn more about his thoughts on joining EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation, his goals for the future, and what he hopes to achieve in his new role.

Paul, can you tell us a bit about your background and experience in the tourism industry?

Certainly! I’ve been working in the tourism industry for nearly two decades, and much of that time has been spent in the Nordic region. I moved to Sweden in 2008 and since then, I’ve been representing various travel destinations to Nordic travel agents. My role has always been about connecting destinations with travelers in the Nordics, helping them discover new places and fulfill their travel dreams. Whether it was Croatia, Caribbean Islands, Dubai, Oman or the UK my job has been to ensure these destinations were prominently featured in travel agency portfolios across the region.

What motivated you to join EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation?

I’ve always respected ESK as one of the leading agencies in the Nordics, I knew the level of professionalism and expertise ESK can bring to the table, so it felt like a natural fit. The opportunity to help ESK grow further in the travel trade business and to help enhance the offerings for existing clients was something I found very exciting. I’m looking forward to contributing to the agency’s success in this sector.

How do you see your role contributing to the growth of ESK?

My focus will be on integrating travel trade more deeply into ESK’s overall business. This means not just adding a new service but evolving the already well working travel trade offerings, while simultaneously creating synergies with other sectors like food, wine, and transportation. By doing this, we can offer our clients a more comprehensive package. I’m also keen on expanding our client base and working closely with our partners, such as Hopscotch Interface Tourism, to ensure we are recognized as a full-service PR agency in the tourism industry.

What are your primary goals for the first year?

In the first year, I’d love to expand the ESK portfolio while further integrating travel trade into the business. This involves not only establishing strong relationships with new clients but also enhancing our collaboration with existing partners like Interface and Hopscotch. My ultimate goal is to leverage my experience and knowledge to elevate ESK’s reputation in the industry and ensure we’re seen as a leading player in the travel trade sector.
