Introducing our new Associate Senior Advisor! 

We’re thrilled to have Åsa Johansson join ESK and our Food & Wine sector. She is a dedicated freelance writer and wine expert with many years of experience in the wine business on the Swedish market, as a writer for known wine magazines, consultant for various wine producers, offering guidance on brand identity, communication strategies, press relations, and event planning. Åsa has achieved the WSET Diploma (Level 4) in 2022 and speaks Swedish, Italian and English.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

“I’m excited about the opportunity to grow and take on new challenges. I look forward to collaborating with the ESK teams, learning from different perspectives, and contributing to innovative projects. Every new role offers a chance to develop professionally, and I find that constant growth incredibly motivating.”

What motivates you the most in your work?

“I’m most motivated by making a real impact, and to be part of ESK with such a long experience of bringing foreign players to the Scandinavian markets and beyond, makes this possible. Whether it’s solving a complex problem or contributing to the success of a team, seeing tangible results from my efforts keeps me driven. I also love the creative process and the chance to continuously improve and learn new things.”

What’s your favorite wine pairing or advice for a perfect wine experience?

“Just like in business, the people and environment play a big role in creating a memorable experience. A simple wine, when shared with good friends or enjoyed in a cozy setting, can become something truly special. On the flip side, even the finest wine can fall flat without the right context or company to elevate it. The key is in the moment and the people you share it with.”
